My three year old grand daughter just had her tonsils and adenoids removed today.

Before she had them removed they gave her a drink of a special mix of meds to get her
ready for the surgery. Five minutes after she had drank the concoction she looked at her dad
and started laughing her head off. When her dad asked her what was so funny she looked at him and
said, "Daddy, You have two heads and your ears look really funny". He began to laugh with her and asked her
how her mother looked? She busted out laughing uncontrollably. She was still laughing when they took her away
for the surgery.

Now she's out of surgery and  the meds are wearing off, she's no longer laughing.

I can feel her pain.

Just thought I would share that with members here.
I love kids and hate to see them in any pain.

Have a Great Day!
Michael

Poor little thing.  I hate it when a little one is suffering.  When mine were little, I had a tendency to cry right along with them...lol.

Dan,
When she wakes up she can. That wore her out plus the pain meds are still working on her.

We have her stocked to the gills on ice cream, jello, pudding, soups... and even crushed ice. ;)

She's a Happy/Funny child when she's straight and even funner when she's on meds.
The child is so good spirted nothing gets her down.

I'm just thankful that this thread was about tonsils and not something serious.  I remember my tonsillectomy because I was 18!  Man, I was sick and hurting for months before those things came out so I imagine that even with a tad of a sore throat she'll be feeling better than before!

But of course, the ice cream  is always a bonus.

I had my tosils etc out when  I was 4...People were nice to me when in hospital
they brought me comics and nice things to eat...A fter the operation they gave me big yellow tablet to swallow I put them in my mouth (under my tounge) drank the water then when the nurse was gone I retrived the tablet and threw it six beds up the ward...When I left the hospital
the most traumatic thing was " the bastards keep my comixs" I was indeed not amused -O)...

Get well soon Jasmine...Indy

Gee Indy - imagine that. Here we all thought you were just a cranky old man and in reality  you've been a brat all your life - go figure.  :-*

Michael - you don't seriously expect us to believe that little angel has some of your genetic structure do you?
